Iconic Health Clubs breaks GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the largest exercise ball class in the world.

Dublin Gym, 1escape health club organised an event at Smithfield Market which

saw an incredible 433 participants break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the Largest exercise ball demonstration/class in the world. The event was open to the community young and old as 1escape pledge to provide a platform to help get Ireland fitter. Research shows if you exercise in the company of others you are more likely to stick at it. 1escape believe the social atmosphere of such an event will create a positive environment in which to embrace exercise and more importantly to have fun whilst getting active.

The attempt was hosted by Irish Rugby Legend Alan Quinlan and coach from Ireland’s Fittest Family.

1escape health club set up the mass participation challenge on the eve of National Fitness Day which celebrates the important role that physical activity plays across Ireland and to encourage more people to get more active more often. In addition the event raised funds for MS Ireland, which provides support for Multiple Sclerosis patients.

Ciara Lefroy, Sales and Marketing Director of 1escape said, “We are delighted with the turnout today and even more excited to see so many people getting active and having fun. We really hope that the event has inspired more people to get active and look after their health’

Official Guinness World Records judge Sofia Greenacre was there on the day to count and verify the fun fitness record as it was broadcast live on Facebook.
