Meet Zayd Abdullah.

Qualified Personal Trainer
Iconic Health Clubs Personal Zayd Abdullah

There’s loads of videos on social media pushing “30-second abs” or “100 ab exercises a day,” but the truth is if you’re not in a calorie deficit, you’re not going to shred belly fat. You can do all the crunches in the world, but your abs will just be getting stronger under the surface — not showing. Fat loss comes from your overall lifestyle, not just smashing out a quick ab circuit.

Client testimonial(s)

“While I had several different trainers throughout years, Zayd was the first one to provide both advanced training methods and personal motivation during sessions. Zayd has great human skills, which makes training feel more purposeful and rewarding. Finally he is able to provide detailed nutrition and sleep advice which some may overlook.” – Mark

“I’ve had a fantastic experience training with Zayd and can’t recommend him highly enough. From the very first session, he made me feel completely at ease—there’s no pressure or intimidation, just genuine support and encouragement that really helps build confidence. One of Zayd’s standout qualities is his flexibility. He’s incredibly accommodating when it comes to scheduling, and he’s always willing to adjust sessions if something comes up. It makes a huge difference when you’re trying to stay consistent around a busy lifestyle. What I appreciate most is how adaptable he is to individual needs. Every session feels tailored—he takes the time to understand your goals, your fitness level, and even how you’re feeling on the day. If something isn’t working or needs to be modified, he adjusts quickly and makes sure you’re still getting the most out of the workout. Overall, Zayd strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and approachability. He keeps you motivated, challenged, and supported throughout, which makes the whole experience really enjoyable and sustainable.” – Rebecca

Bio of Zayd

Im Zayd, a coach who keeps things simple and focused on what actually works. I help people build consistency, confidence, and real progress that lasts. Motivation is hard. Consistency is hard. Getting fitter and stronger is hard. Choose your hard and I’ll help make it easy. I work with all levels, meet you where you’re at, and keep you accountable every step of the way.

Why I became a Personal Trainer

I started personal training because I genuinely enjoy seeing people progress , it’s what makes the job rewarding for me. I began by helping friends and family, and seeing the positive impact it had on them made me realise this is what I want to do. When you enjoy what you do, it doesn’t feel like work.

Training Style & Fitness Philosophy

Reaching your goals can feel hard, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. Over the years, I’ve tried every trendy workout, viral diet, and even unnecessary natural supplements. What I’ve found works best is simple: In practice, I usually pick 2 exercises per muscle group and rotate them each session, doing 1–2 top sets to failure. I vary rep ranges, aim to progress reps each session, and increase weight when I hit the top of my range. On the diet side, staying in a caloric surplus or deficit and hitting around 0.7–1g of protein per pound of bodyweight is enough – you don’t need to eat perfectly every meal to make progress. Keep it simple, stay consistent, and the results will come.

Typical Results

My clients get stronger, move better, and feel more confident in their daily life. It’s not just about looks, it’s about building habits that stick, learning what works for their body, and actually enjoying the process of improving.

Ideal Client

My ideal clients are people who are ready to take control of their life and make a real change. You don’t need to be perfect, but you do need dedication, honesty with yourself, and the drive to improve. I work with anyone who wants to better themselves -physically, mentally, and in their habits and who’s willing to put in the work to see results. If you’re ready to commit, I’ll make sure the journey is clear, achievable, and worth it.

What makes me different from other personal trainers in Dublin?

What makes me different from other trainers is how real and approachable I am. Training with me isn’t just about sets and reps it’s about having someone in your corner who genuinely cares, listens, and can have a normal conversation with you while still pushing you to get results. I make sessions enjoyable, relatable, and tailored to you, so you feel supported every step of the way. I don’t just want clients — I want people who trust me, enjoy the process, and actually look forward to improving.
