Bio of Juan

I hold a BSc in Sport Sciences and Health, followed by an MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology. Sport has always been a big part of my life. I started with swimming at a young age, then moved into triathlon, and in recent years I’ve developed a strong interest in CrossFit. My main area of focus is exercise for people with health conditions and older adults. I have also worked for several years as an adapted swimming coach, supporting individuals with disabilities and autism, which I found incredibly rewarding.

Why I became a Personal Trainer

Sport has always been central to my life. From swimming in my early years to triathlon and more recently CrossFit, I’ve experienced firsthand the benefits of staying active. Over time, I realised how powerful exercise can be—not only for physical health but also for mental wellbeing. Studying Sport Sciences and later Clinical Exercise Physiology reinforced this and inspired me to help others improve their health, fitness, and overall quality of life through structured exercise programmes.

Training Style & Fitness Philosophy

My approach to personal training is simple, effective, and sustainable. I prioritise proper technique, strength development, and overall fitness, while ensuring that training fits realistically into each client’s lifestyle. With my background in clinical exercise physiology, I place strong emphasis on adapting exercise programmes for individuals with health conditions, injuries, or specific limitations—ensuring safe and effective progress.

Typical Results

Most of my clients see improvements in strength, fitness, and overall confidence. Many achieve fat loss, build muscle, and become more comfortable with exercise. I also work with older adults and individuals with health conditions, helping them improve mobility, strength, independence, and overall quality of life through tailored fitness programmes.

Ideal Client

My ideal clients are people who want to improve their health and fitness in a realistic and sustainable way. I enjoy working with beginners who want guidance starting their fitness journey, as well as older adults or people with health conditions who want to exercise safely and improve their quality of life.
