Firstly, I’d like to say a huge congratulations to our teams after their success at the National Health and Fitness awards last week. We were thrilled to win 4 National Awards including Gym Team of the Year and Customer Service Provider of the Year. None of this would have been possible without the great team we have working with us and of course our members support. Also, I’d like to congratulate Jess our trainer for making the finals for Fitness Instructor of the Year.
Weights Floor Update
As you may be aware there is structural work to be carried out in the future on our weights floor. The work should roughly take two weeks to complete and there will be no access to the free weights area during this period. We have put an action plan in place to keep as much equipment in use as possible and at the moment all equipment is available for use. During this 2 week period of works we will not have use of the following machines : 2 x Platforms/squat racks, Decline Leg Press, Seated Leg Press and Dumbbells over 22kg. At this point in time we are awaiting confirmation from our landlord and/or Management Company when the work will commence. When we hear anything about this we will notify all members immediately so you are aware of what is going on. During this time you will have access to all our other facilities as well full access to 1escape health club and The Dartry Health club.
Class Bookings
Having our mobile booking system is extremely convenient for booking classes. As always however, we ask that you respect the code of conduct for classes and the use of the app. We have increased the cancellation period from 30 minutes to 2 hours. This should mean that people on the waiting lists will not be added to the class 30 minutes before it commences and will therefore give no give everyone enough time to choose to attend the class or call reception to cancel if the cutoff time has passed.
The rules regarding bookings and classes are in place to ensure that all members can attend the classes of their choice. Current statistics show that class attendance is on average at 75% which means there is plenty of space for everybody but if the rules are not respected then members may lose out.
Please be aware that repeated non attendance without cancelling may result in a booking ban or your ability to book online being disabled.
Staff Training
We are constantly working on self improvement and continuous trainings for all our staff so that you get the best experience. We feel that the safety of our members and staff is hugely important and creating an amazing environment to work out in. In early March, we held a training day for our Full time staff on our EAP’s (Emergency Action Procedures) and SOP’s (Safety Operating Procedures) so that we can keep a consistent high service quality and that all staff are aware of these safety procedures in the unlikely event of having to use them.
As always, if you have any questions or feedback about the club or your membership, please do not hesitate to contact me.
