The science behind HIIT (High Intensity Interval Based Training) is scientifically proven to produce greater results in less time that low intensity training. Although it would not be recommended to perform HIIT without a baseline of fitness, once you train at higher interval levels your post exercise oxegen consumption will be raised for hours! Not only will you burn more calories but will have recruited more muscle fibre throughout the workout for better muscular recruitment!
