Our members overall experience and their health and safety always take top priority at The Dartry Health Club. In April, we invested in new equipment, the upkeep of our pool and sauna and the modernising of our studios and weights area.
Modernising the club
Our new functional weights area has been finished with a fantastic mural of the Aviva Stadium as part of our ongoing partnership with IRUPA. This is sure to help keep you motivated while you’re pushing for those remaining reps.
In addition, we have also installed new lighting in Studio 1 which has really made an impact on the atmosphere in all our classes.
Changes in Child Admission Policy
As part of our review for the White Flag Audit we have made some changes to our Child Admission Policy, the main change is that children 8 years and above are to use the changing room dedicated to their gender. A copy of the policy can be viewed on the message board at reception.
Maintenance
A large investment has been made last month to allow our members to train and relax in a safe and comfortable environment. In the sauna, we have fixed the benches and fixed an ongoing problem with the lights. We have also purchased and put in a new swimming pool ladder.
The air conditioning unit in the Spin Studio has also been repaired. Mark who is head of our in-house maintenance team has also changed and cleaned all the remaining air con filters in all studios and on the gym floor to set us up nicely for the summer.
Equipment
Following feedback from our members we have decided to extend the stretching area. We have also added a number of resistance bands, power bands, medicine balls and 2.5kg Olympics plates.
We have also purchased new Kettlebells. Kettlebell classes have proved very popular in the past and you should expect more of them on the timetable in the near future.
Farewell and Thank you.
Unfortunately, we are saying goodbye to Johan who has been with us for the past year while he finished his PhD, he will be returning home to South Africa on June 11th. He will be missed by staff and members alike and we wish him every success in his future endeavourers. His final shift is on Thursday 8th of June so be sure to say your goodbyes next time you’re in.
Summer Changes
We have a number of investments planned over the coming months. One such investment will be a complete refurbishment of the carpark. We expect the work to be carried out in July or August, with plenty of notice being given to you the members.
