In the meantime, we have put together a list of FAQ’s to update you about our reopening and our new procedures.
If you have any further queries, please contact your club and we will be delighted to chat with you.
Please note that these FAQs are subject to change as we adapt to new government guidelines. Your safety is our number one priority.
FAQ’s.
Is is safe to go back to the gym?
Yes, it is not only safe to go to our clubs, it’s also time to get back into a routine and getting active in the comfort of our fitness facilities. We can’t wait to see you!
Is it safe to use the pool?
Yes, a well-run, clean swimming pool with appropriately treated water using chlorine at internationally accepted levels should provide adequate disinfection to neutralize the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes the COVID-19 disease. Our pools are maintained to an extremely high industry standard. We’re confident in our ability to minimise the risk of infection and keep our members safe.
What are your enhanced cleaning and safety procedures?
Both staff and members will play a part in creating a clean and safe environment for everyone. Our increased infection prevention procedures include:
Hand sanitising stations: We ask that you sanitise your hands in the entrance on arrival and throughout the gym during your visit.
Disinfectant Spray and Towels: We also ask that you clean any gym equipment before and after use with sanitising spray provided.
Ongoing Cleaning: Both our cleaning and fitness teams will be carrying out a two-stage cleaning process, which involves an initial detergent clean, followed by a disinfectant clean. This will be carried out whist open and throughout our closure periods every 75 minutes.
Increased cleaning hours: Gym equipment will be sanitised on a regular basis throughout the day and the gym will be deep cleaned every night. We’ll also be shortening group exercise classes to allow more time for the studios to be cleaned.
Training: All staff have undertaken cleaning training including COVID-19 Awareness, Infection Prevention and Hand Hygiene.
Protection: We’ve installed plastic shields at reception desks and we’ll be providing PPE for our staff in line with government recommendations.
Do I need to wear a mask?
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), people should NOT wear masks when exercising, as masks may reduce the ability to breathe comfortably. In addition sweat can make the mask become wet more quickly which makes it difficult to breathe. The important preventive measure during exercise is to maintain physical distance of 2 meters from others. All our exercise equipment and studios have been rearranged to allow for safe distancing when exercising in our clubs and our air conditioning units are constantly serviced and supply fresh air from outdoors.
Opening hours?
Hours may vary slightly per club to allow for booking slots. Updated hours can be found on each clubs website.

I feel unwell, what should I do?
If you feel sick or have COVID-19 symptoms, stay at home and don’t come to the club. We will also be asking the same of our staff.
